How much does it cost?

Are you fully licensed and insured?

We are a BBB-accredited organization that is completely bonded, licensed, and insured. You can count on us to safely carry your stuff to wherever life takes you next. We may show you the documentation for your peace of mind on request.

Can I travel in the truck with the movers?

Unfortunately, we cannot have non-employees on board with us due to insurance reasons during the commute. You are free to follow the truck or arrange a ride with a friend or cab service.

How much time will it take to move?

The time it takes to pick up and deliver your goods will depend on several factors such as the weather conditions, the size of the shipment, and the distance to the specific destination. 99% of local moves happen on the same day. Our drivers will also notify you 15-30 minutes before arrival at the origin point.
If it is a long-distance move – you will know the delivery date before we even begin the move. Our drivers will also notify you prior arrival.

What are the bonuses when paying?

If you choose to pay by credit/debit card, an extra 3% processing fee will be added.

If you choose to pay by cash, there will be a 5% discount for local moves and a 3% discount for long-distance moves.

What is included in the services?

Loading/unloading, equipment, transportation, fuel, mileage, toll fees, and BASIC moving insurance are typically included in the overall service charge.

I requested quotes from many movers to assist with moving heavy furniture from NH to RI. Stark gave one of the best prices and I ultimately chose them based on their Google and Yelp reviews. They did not disappoint. The reservation process was very easy and completely online. On the day of the move, the Stark Movers called to say they were within 10 minutes from my apartment. I appreciated the punctuality and communication. There were three movers who worked efficiently as a team. They had to move an oversized sectional and treadmill down three flights of stairs. I was impressed with how quickly they wrapped all my items up and loaded them onto the truck. They were even faster unloading at my new place. My RI apartment has some tight doorways and hallways, but it did not hinder their process. Again, their communication was on point because they continued to check in with me about where furniture should be set up. They also handled assembling my bed (huge relief). I would highly recommend Stark to anyone moving. The pricing was one of the best I found and the quality was amazing. This was my first time using movers and I will definitely use Stark for any future moves.

The team showed up right on time and got our large two bedroom apartment moved from Somerville to Boston in 4 hours, which was consistent with our estimate and very impressive for the amount of work it was. The final price came in under our initial estimate, which was a very nice surprise, since moving can be expensive. The team was professional, friendly, and efficient. They had no problem moving everything into our 4th floor walk up and made sure to communicate throughout the move to make sure everything got to the right room. This was our first move hiring movers and it was worth every penny with Stark Moving. We will definitely be using them for any future moves and recommend them to anyone in the area.
